Daily (07.04.2021): Carbon EUAs rose by 4% on Tuesday, breaking a new record high

Crude oil prices increased on Tuesday, on optimism over demand recovery amid a fast vaccine rollout in the United States. Gains, however, were limited by OPEC+ members’ decision of an increase in their output. Brent oil ended 1% up at $62.74 a barrel, while WTI crude rose by 1.2% to $59.33 a barrel.

Daily (01.04.2021): Carbon EUAs rose by 1% on Wednesday amid a record number of market participants

Oil prices were bearish on Wednesday ahead of the next OPEC+ summit. Meanwhile, the market seemed to ignore the EIA’s weekly report showing a decline in US crude reserves. As a result, Brent oil ended 1% down at $63.54 a barrel and WTI crude dropped by 2.3% to $59.16 a barrel.

Crude prices continued to climb on Wednesday, supported by a decline in US oil supply after a historically cold weather hit the country's main oil regions. As a result, Brent crude increased by 2.6% to $67.04 a barrel and WTI oil rose by 2.5% to $63.22 a barrel.

Crude oil prices resumed their bullish trend on Wednesday, lifted by supply disruptions due to a historic cold spell in the United States. As such, Brent crude ended 1.6% higher at $64.34 a barrel and WTI oil rose by 1.8% to $61.14 a barrel.
