Russia: Rosatom to increase orders to $100 billion in 2014

Russia's state nuclear company Rosatom plans to expand its global order book to $100 billion till the end of 2014, or a 25 percent increase year-on-year, by assuring new projects in Hungary, Kazakhstan, India and Iran, as declared on Monday by CEO Sergei Kiriyenko at a reunion with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

Belarus: AtomStroyExport to build country’s first nuclear power plant

Following an earlier launched tender by Belarus, the Russian Rosatom subsidiary, AtomStroyExport (ASE) was selected to start the construction of a two-unit nuclear power plant at Ostrovetsk in the Grodno region by the end of 2013. This will be the first nuclear power plant in Belarus.
