EIA: U.S. green electricity generation reaches 14.3% in the first half 2014

Renewable energy sources, including biomass, geothermal, hydropower, solar, wind provided 14.3% of net U.S. electricity generation the first six months of 2014, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information (EIA) in its latest "Electric Power Monthly" report.
