Bulgaria is not abandoning South Stream pipeline project

Total and E.ON to abandon a pipeline to convey Azeri gas to Italy

France's Total and Germany's E.ON intend to exit the Trans Adriatic Gas Pipeline (TAP) to convey Azeri gas to Italy, since decreasing Italian demand puts energy projects into doubt, according to Vagif Aliyev, SOCAR's investment department manager at Azeri SOCAR.

Russia’s Stroitransgaz to construct South Stream traversing Bulgaria

Russian natural gas exporter Gazprom stated on Tuesday it had chosen a conglomerate run by Russia's Stroitransgaz to extend the South Stream pipeline across Bulgaria at an estimated cost of over 3 billion euros ($4.10 billion).
