A new 2020 Renewables Routemap was approved last week by the Scottish Government, an important step to move toward the development of a large-scale biomass renewable energy project in the Western part of Scotland. View on geothermal feed-in tariffs in Europe
Many countries around the world shifted to geothermal energy following nuclear disaster at the Fukushima nuclear reactors. Italy to invest 140 million Euros in wind power in Egypt
Italgen Group, which already operates already in 22 countries around the world, will invest 140 million euros into the development of wind energy projects in Egypt that will be situated in Gabal El Zeit area and have a total capacity of 120 MW.

India to boost its solar power industry
The solar industry is seen as a fast growing industry in India, due to the country’s favorable geographical position and high population density. The Indian Government recently introduced a supportive framework for solar power which provides that the development of solar power will constitute a new alternative in supplying the country with electricity, however almost half of the Indian households are not connected to the electricity network.
