Germany shutters seven coal power plants as energy crises eases
Seven lignite-fired power plant units with a combined generating capacity of 3.1 gigawatt will be shut down in Germany at the end of March after the plant’s planned decommissioning was postponed due to the 2022 energy crisis.

UK nuclear decommissioning plan could deliver savings, but risks remain
The UK’s new funding arrangements for the decommissioning of seven of its advanced gas-cooled reactor (AGR) nuclear power plants could deliver savings but "financial risks" remain and its success "will ultimately depend on the relevant parties working collaboratively", says the UK spending watchdog the National Audit Office (NAO).

Defuelling completed at Leningrad 1
Decommissioning of the RBMK reactor at Leningrad 1 has reached a milestone with the removal of all fuel from the reactor core. Rosenergoatom plans to use some of the fuel in the two RBMK reactors which remain in operation at the Leningrad site.

Commissioning of 382.7-MW Dutch nearshore wind farm faces delay
The 382.7-MW Fryslan nearshore wind park in the Frisian part of the Ijsselmeer Lake in the Netherlands will become fully operational after the summer season, later than the initial deadline, the project developer said today.
