Oil prices ended mixed on Tuesday as concerns over global oil demand offset ongoing supply concerns due to Middle East tensions. Consequently, Brent crude rose by about 0.6% to settle at $82.87, while WTI crude retreated by about 0.5% to close at $77.82 per barrel.

Daily (18.09.2023): British gas prices rose on Friday amid Australian LNG disruptions and extended Norwegian outages

Oil prices extended their gains on Friday, as supply shortages continued to boost prices, while indicators provided favourable news on demand in China and the United States. As a result, Brent crude edged 0.2% up at $93.93 a barrel, while WTI crude advanced by 0.7% to $90.77 a barrel.

Daily (14.06.2023): Gas prices soared on Tuesday as Nyhamna's gas outage was extended by more than three weeks

Crude oil prices gained ground on Tuesday on the back of lower-than-expected US inflation figures, which raised hopes of a pause in the Federal Reserve's interest rate hike. In addition, speculation about further Chinese economic recovery lent support. Hence, Brent crude increased by 3.4% to settle at $74.29 a barrel. At the same time, WTI crude traded 3.4% higher at $69.42 a barrel.
