Daily: U.S. oil drops to a three-week low as Chinese exports fell more than expected
U.S. crude oil dropped over a $1 per barrel on Monday, touching a three-week low, dragged down by a surprisingly fall in Chinese exports that increased fears of an economic slowdown in China. Meanwhile, U.S. oil eased by $1.46 to settle at $101.12 a barrel, the weakest level since February 14. Brent crude ended 92 cents lower at $108.08 after two consecutive days of gains.

Daily: European carbon prices up 10 % on the week after backloading plan disclosure
U.S. crude oil hit its eight consecutive week of gains on Friday on weaker oil rail shipments from the growing Bakken shale basin in North Dakota. Brent oil posted moderate gains but settled the week lower, dragged down by an outlook for dipping demand in China and another for slow European growth due to escalating unrests in Ukraine.

Daily: European year-ahead coal prices at the lowest level in five years

Dongfang wins order to supply 30 turbines to Blaiken
China’s Dongfang Electric has inked a €67 million transaction with Skellefteå Kraft to deliver turbines at the third stage of the 250 MW Blaiken wind farm in the north of Sweden. The first two phases comprise 60 Nordex turbines of 2.5 MW each.
