SunPower agreed with Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) to add 40 MW of capacity to Sun Power’s existing contract with PG&E for 210 MW, executed in August 2008, as to develop a 250 MW solar photovoltaic power plant in San Luis Obispo County, CA.

Fotowatio and BP Solar plan several projects in Italy
Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV), an independent solar producer, together with BP Solar, plans to expand in Italy, by installing several photovoltaic plants till the end of 2010, toting up 37.1 MW, at a cost of €125 million.

Enel in negociations with Bulgarian minister – power plant sale
The largest plant in Italy, Enel, is in negotiations with a European investor, on the sale of its stake held in a thermal power plant in Bulgaria, a share that reaches 73% in plant based on coal processing, with a capacity of 908 MW. Remaining shares are owned by the Bulgarian government.

RusHydro still restores Sayano-Shushenskaya plant
Before the fatal accident in August 2009 where 75 people were killed, the 6,400-MW-hydroelectric plant, Sayano-Shushenskaya, situated in southern Siberia, was the largest hydropower plant in Russia and the sixth largest in the world.
