UK to tighten emissions trading scheme from 2024
The UK emissions trading scheme (ETS) will be reformed next year to tighten limits on carbon dioxide pollution and expanded in 2026 to include new sectors, the relevant authority said on Monday.

Daily (22.06.2023): European carbon prices recorded their biggest intraday decline in three months
Oil prices gained momentum on Wednesday, ahead of weekly data on US crude inventories. Unshaken by the Fed chairman's comments on further U.S. interest rate hikes, WTI crude rose by around 2% to settle at $72.53/barrel, while Brent crude ended at $77.12/barrel, posting a 1.6% day-on-day gain.

BP, Orsted reach deal over overlap of UK Endurance CCS, Hornsea windfarm sites
BP and Orsted have resolved a dispute over an overlapping zone in the UK North Sea between the BP-led Endurance carbon capture project and the Danish firm's planned Hornsea 4 windfarm, the companies said in a letter published by UK authorities.

Oil prices retreated slightly on Tuesday, despite a key interest rate cut in China designed to boost demand, as investors focused on the country's fragile economic health. Thus, WTI crude settled at $71.19 a barrel, while Brent crude ended at $75.90 a barrel.
