Spain's Gamesa declared on Thursday it has purchased 50 percent of offshore wind turbine Adwen from Areva for 60 million euros ($67.5 million) after a fusion between the Spanish wind-farm producer and Siemens.

Siemens ready to acquire Areva wind venture in Gamesa agreement

Nareva-run consortium wins $1.2 billion wind power contract in Morocco
A conglomerate managed by Moroccan energy company Nareva Holding has won a 12 billion-dirham ($1.22 billion) agreement to construct five wind farms across the country, with a total capacity of 850 megawatts, Nareva delcared on Thursday.

Areva plans 5 billion euro capital raise
French nuclear conglomerate Areva announced it plans a 5 billion euro capital raise to reestablish its finances and declared it anticipates the intended takeover of its reactor unit by fellow state-owned utility EDF to be completed in 2017.
