Daily (11.12.2017): EU carbon prices slumped by around 3% to their lowest level in five weeks on Friday

Oil prices surged by almost 2 percent on Friday, buyout by increasing Chinese crude demand and threats of a strike in Africa's biggest oil exporter. Brent crude closed $1.20, or 1.9 percent, up at $63.40 a barrel. Meanwhile, WTI crude prices rose 1.2% to settle at $57.36 a barrel.

Daily (08.12.2017): EU carbon prices settled 1.1% higher on Thursday after a week of declines

Oil prices recovered on Thursday after a data report showed a drop in U.S. crude inventories. Brent crude futures settled at $61.20 a barrel, up 98 cents, or 1.6 percent. Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures closed at $56.51 a barrel, up 55 cents, or 1 percent up from their last settlement.

Daily (07.12.2017): WTI crude futures dipped by 2.9% on higher U.S. inventories of refined products

Oil prices slumped on Wednesday after an unexpected increase in U.S. inventories of refined products that suggested demand might be weakening. Brent crude futures were down $1.64, or 2.6%, at $61.22 a barrel, after reaching a session peak of $62.93. Meanwhile U.S. crude futures dropped $1.66, or 2.9%, to close at $55.96.

Daily (06.12.2017): EU carbon prices fell 1.6% on weaker auction on Tuesday

Oil prices rose on Tuesday, buyout by strong demand, expectations of a decline in U.S. crude inventories and an OPEC-led agreement to extend oil production cuts. Brent crude futures ended 41 cents, or 0.7 percent, up at $62.86 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude increased by 15 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $57.62 a barrel.

Daily (05.12.2017): French spot power contract up by 43.2% on Monday, due to higher demand

Oil prices dropped on Monday after U.S. shale drillers added last week more rigs, but prices remained close to their highest since mid-2015, buyout by an extension to output reductions agreed last week by OPEC and other producers. February Brent crude futures were down $1.28 at $63.11 a barrel. Meanwhile U.S. West Texas Intermediate traded 89 cents, or 1.5%, lower at $57.47.
