Daily (27.11.2018): German spot power price hiked by 22% on Monday, on lower wind generation forecasts

Oil prices gained ground on Monday, on expectations for a reduction in Saudi Arabia’s output, which hit a record level of approximately 11 million barrels per day this month. Moreover, crude inventories at the delivery point for WTI at Cushing, Oklahoma rose less-than-predicted from Tuesday to Friday. However, gains were capped by persisting uncertainty over global economic growth. Brent crude was at $60.48 a barrel, while WTI crude ended at $51.63 a barrel, adding 2.9% and 2.4% respectively.

Daily (26.11.2018): Brent crude lost 6.1% on Friday, on worries about oversupply

Concerns over abundant crude supplies and a deceleration in world economic expansion put heavy pressure on oil prices on Friday. Moreover, global equity markets plunged as well. Brent crude tumbled to $58.8 a barrel, posting a 12% loss week-on week. Meanwhile, WTI crude prices fell to $50.42 a barrel, or a 11% decline for the week.

Daily (23.11.2018): Oil prices tumbled by 1.4% to hit new one-year lows on Thursday due to a sharp rise in inventories

Oil prices reversed trend on Thursday slumping to new one-year lows, after U.S. stocks reached the highest level since December last year, adding to concerns about global oversupply. Both Brent and WTI traded 1.4% lower at $62.6 a barrel and $53.86 a barrel, respectively.
