Daily (23.05.2018): European carbon prices soared by 2.4% on Tuesday to hit new seven-year peaks

Oil prices were mixed on Tuesday. Brent futures rose close to $80 a barrel level on Tuesday, adding $0.35, or 0.4%, on concerns that decreasing Venezuelan crude output and a potential decline in Iranian exports could further reduce global supply. Brent crude settled at $79.57 a barrel. WTI futures slightly fell due to expectations that OPEC may raise supplies as early as June, to settle at $72.20 a barrel.

Daily (22.05.2018): WTI futures settled 1.4% to new peak on Monday following geopolitical tensions and postponed U.S and China trade war.

Oil prices rose on Monday, rebounding from earlier losses after geopolitical tensions led to stronger crude market and a trade war between the U.S. and China was declared on hold. Brent futures added $0.71, or 0.9% to close at $79.22 a barrel. WTI crude gained $0.96, or 1.4% to close at $72,24 a barrel, new high.

Daily (21.05.2018): NBP spot gas price fell by 2.9% on Friday due to warmer weather forecasts

Oil prices fell on Friday as Saudi Arabia made assurances on supply. Brent crude dropped 0.79 cents, or 1%, to close at $78.51 a barrel. WTI futures edged $0.21, or 0.3% down at $71.28 a barrel.

Daily (18.05.2018): French day-ahead power price jumped by 13.2% on Thursday on rising coal and carbon prices

Oil prices were almost flat on Thursday. Brent futures reached an intraday high of $80.50 a barrel due to a stronger dollar, but finally ended at $79.30 a barrel. WTI crude was constant at $71.49 a barrel.

Daily (17.05.2018): EU carbon prices jumped by 6% on Wednesday to the highest level since 2011

A stronger dollar and an inventory report indicating lower-than-expected U.S. crude and gasoline stocks backed oil prices on Wednesday. Brent futures futures added 85 cents, or 1.1%, to close at $79.28 a barrel. WTI crude rose by $0.18, or 0.3% to settle at $71.49 a barrel.
