On Tuesday, crude oil prices slightly increased from earlier lows, however, the rebound was limited by the prospect of higher interest rates and concerns over the health of the global economy. Crude oil prices dropped, to hit their lowest levels in three weeks on Monday due to concerns over the health of the global economy. Furthermore, the prospect of higher interest rates also dragged oil prices down. As a result, Brent crude slumped by 4.8% to settle at $90.71 a barrel. Meanwhile, U.S. WTI crude declined by 2.2% to $88.82 a barrel.
