Daily (13.12.2017): European power prices hit contract peaks on Tuesday, after a blast at an Austrian gas hub

Oil prices declined sharply on Tuesday, as traders took profits after prices increased tto a two-year peak on an unscheduled closure of the pipeline that carries the largest North Sea crude oil grade. Brent crude settled down $1.35, or 2.1 percent, at $63.34 a barrel. U.S. crude ended at $57.14 a barrel, or 1.5 percent lower.

Daily (11.12.2017): EU carbon prices slumped by around 3% to their lowest level in five weeks on Friday

Oil prices surged by almost 2 percent on Friday, buyout by increasing Chinese crude demand and threats of a strike in Africa's biggest oil exporter. Brent crude closed $1.20, or 1.9 percent, up at $63.40 a barrel. Meanwhile, WTI crude prices rose 1.2% to settle at $57.36 a barrel.

Romania will build a waste petroleum recycling facility

Romanian Green Oil and Lubes firm will have a recycling plant for waste lubricant oil. The $56 million project aims to transform oil waste into base oils so it might be reutilized in the automotive and industrial field. The 73,000 metric-tonne recycling site will be constructed in southern region of Romania, on Danube’s shore.

Daily (08.12.2017): EU carbon prices settled 1.1% higher on Thursday after a week of declines

Oil prices recovered on Thursday after a data report showed a drop in U.S. crude inventories. Brent crude futures settled at $61.20 a barrel, up 98 cents, or 1.6 percent. Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures closed at $56.51 a barrel, up 55 cents, or 1 percent up from their last settlement.
