REpower to deliver wind turbines of latest generation in Turkey

Geycek wind farm in Kirsehir province East of Ankara, the largest wind farm of REpower in Europe, will get from REpower 44 wind turbines of 3.XM series, with an evaluated power of 3.37 MW each and a hub height of 80 meters, following the deal between REpower Systems AG (WKN 617703) and Al Yel Elektrik, a subsidiary of Akuo Energy SAS.

Enel in negociations with Bulgarian minister – power plant sale

The largest plant in Italy, Enel, is in negotiations with a European investor, on the sale of its stake held in a thermal power plant in Bulgaria, a share that reaches 73% in plant based on coal processing, with a capacity of 908 MW. Remaining shares are owned by the Bulgarian government.

France and Italy impose carbon tariffs

French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi asked the European Union to impose carbon tariffs on the countries which are not part of a global agreement to reduce greenhouse gases, an idea which was not approved by other EU members.
