Russia: Gazprom Neft purchases licence to develop the Novosamarskoye field, Orenburg Oblast

Gazprom Neft has purchased a subsoil usage license issued by the Federal Subsoil Resources Management Agency for the Novosamarskoye field in the Orenburg Oblast. The license, for the exploration and production of hydrocarbons, is valid until 5 May 2037. The total area of the licensed block is 26.56 square kilometers.

Switzerland to decide on nuclear power phaseout in favor of renewables

Daily (18.05.2017): Oil prices surged by around 1% to a two-week high on Wednesday

Oil prices surged to a two-week high on Wednesday after U.S crude inventories declined for the sixth straight week. On May 25, in Vienna, OPEC producers are expected to extend the supply cuts. Brent crude edged up 1% to close at $52.21 per barrel. Meanwhile, U.S. WTI crude price jumped by 0.84% to settle at $ 49.07 a barrel.
