Crude oil futures were mixed on Friday on sparked worries over deeper economic problems that could influence demand for oil and a sink in consumer confidence. NYMEX crude for September delivery traded at 86.88 dollars a barrel, down 1.50 dollars, while ICE Brent crude oil futures for September delivery settled at 108.03 dollars a barrel up 1.00 cent after a trading range from 106.86 to 109.16 dollars.
