Daily (25.01.18): Oil prices rose 0.8% after record 10th straight weekly decline in U.S. inventories

Oil prices were boosted by robust volumes on Wednesday, after the record 10th consecutive weekly decline in U.S. crude inventories, even though reduced refining activity and increasing output signaled U.S. stocks might surge. Brent crude rose by 57 cents, or 0.8%, to settle at $70.53 per barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures increased by 1.7 percent to $65.61 a barrel.

Daily (19.01.2018): EU carbon prices jumped by 3.6% on Thursday to hit fresh 2-year highs

Oil prices slipped on Thursday on a bounce-back in U.S. output, but continuing declines in crude inventories limited losses in the market. Brent crude futures traded 7 cents, or 0.1%, lower at $69.31. Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures was almost constant at $63.95 a barrel.

Daily (18.01.2018): UK day-ahead gas price fell 2.5% on Wednesday due to healthy supplies

Oil prices edged higher on Wednesday before the publication of U.S. government data that was likely to indicate a ninth straight weekly drawdown in crude inventories. Brent futures settled 23 cents, or 0.3%, up at $69.38 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude gained 24 cents, or 0.4%, to $63.97 per barrel.

Daily (09.01.2018): EU carbon prices dropped by 1.5% on Monday

Oil prices were little changed on Monday, trading close to their highest levels since May 2015, as political worries in several OPEC countries counterbalanced forecast for higher U.S. oil output. Brent futures gained 16 cents, or 0.2 percent, to settle at $67.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude edged 29 cents, or 0.5 percent, higher at $61.73.
