China’s on grid solar capacity to triple by the end of 2013

According to China’s National Energy Administration (NEA), total grid-connected solar capacity in China could triple to 10 GW by the end of the year. The total grid installed generation capacity from all sources is predicted to reach 1,235GW by the end of this year, representing a 200% rise, in comparison to a year before.

Serbia: construction works started on Serbian section of South Stream

Construction works began last week on the Serbian leg of Gazprom's South Stream gas pipeline. The segment under construction will have the capacity to carry 40.5 billion cubic meters per year and it will have about 4500 kilometers across Serbia, having a total cost of about 2 billion euros.
