Qatar's LNG Megaprojects Are Making Markets Increasingly Competitive
Qatar Petroleum’s recently set a new record for the largest LNG export project ever. By 2026, the country will once again become the world's largest supplier of liquefied natural gas by overtaking Australia. The signing of the contract was delayed for a year due to economic uncertainty as a direct consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic. With the mega-expansion, the market could be oversupplied for years and the feasibility of other projects that are awaiting their investment decision could be in jeopardy.

Israel to link Leviathan gas field to Egypt LNG plants
The Israeli and Egyptian energy ministers have agreed to build a pipeline to connect Israel’s offshore Leviathan natural gas field to liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals in northern Egypt, the Israeli minister said on Sunday.

U.S. LNG Exports Set To Exceed Pipeline Gas Exports Next Year
Exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) out of the United States are set to exceed America’s gross natural gas exports via pipeline on an annual basis in 2022, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Thursday.

Daily (16.02.2021): NBP gas for March21 delivery fell by 7% on Monday amid mild weather outlooks and high LNG supply
Crude oil prices extended gains on Monday, supported by renewed optimism over the outlook for global demand amid Covid-19 vaccine rollout. Hence, Brent crude rose by 1.4% to $63.30 a barrel and WTI oil ended 1.1% up at $60.14 a barrel.
