Oil prices posted modest gains on Thursday, supported by intensifying Middle East tensions. However, a pessimistic global demand outlook capped gain. Thus, Brent crude rose by 1.1% to settle slightly above $89 a barrel, while WTI crude edged 1% higher at $83.57 a barrel.

Daily (21.03.2024): Forward gas prices dropped sharply on Wednesday amid ample storage levels and strong Norwegian flows
On Wednesday, oil prices fell as the dollar weakened after the Fed announcement, while investors took advantage of recent price spikes amidst worries about possible supply disruptions in Russia. As a result, Brent crude oil fell by about 2% to settle slightly below $86 a barrel, while WTI crude declined by around 3% to stand at $81.27 a barrel.

Daily (29.02.2024): Forecasts of colder weather and reduced Norwegian supply drove the energy complex higher on Wednesday
Oil prices posted mixed evolution on Wednesday, driven by ongoing geopolitical tensions and a 4.2-million-barrel build in US crude inventories. As a result, Brent crude stabilised at $83.68 a barrel, and WTI crude retreated by 0.4% to settle at $78.54 a barrel.
