Daily (03.07.2019): Crude oil prices fell by over 4% on Tuesday, weighed by demand worries

Crude oil prices posted an important loss on Tuesday, pressured by global oil demand concerns raised by weaker factory activity in Europe and Asia in June as well as by downbeat U.S. manufacturing data nearing a three-year low. Moreover, investors seemed to be rather disappointed that OPEC didn’t agree on larger output cuts. As a result, WTI futures plunged by 4.8% to $56.25 a barrel, while Brent crude tumbled by 4.1% to $62.40 a barrel.

Daily (03.05.2019): EUAs fell by over 9% on a weekly basis, after the end of compliance purchase

The high level of U.S. crude stockpiles overshadowed the ongoing fears of a tighter supply, pushing crude oil prices lower on Thursday. Moreover, a potential rise in Saudi Arabia’s production to meet Asian refineries’ requests for more crude oil also weighed on prices. Consequently, WTI futures plunged by 2.8% to $61.81 a barrel, while Brent crude fell by 2% to $70.75 a barrel.

UK’s LNG Imports Jump To Highest Since 2015

The UK is on track to import this month its highest volume of liquefied natural gas (LNG) since October 2015, as a wave of new global LNG supply and muted winter demand and low spot prices in Asia are boosting flows of the fuel to Europe.
