Western Companies Abandon Russia-Led Nord Stream 2 Project
The U.S. imposed on Tuesday sanctions on the Russian pipe-laying vessel that was expected to complete the construction of the gas pipeline Nord Stream 2, while several Western companies are said to have abandoned links to the project for fear of sanctions.

DNV GL Exits Nord Stream 2 as New Sanctions Loom
DNV GL is withdrawing from the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline in response to a possible widening of US sanctions against companies conducting pipeline testing, inspection, or certification services for the project to bring more Russian gas to Europe.

Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline says has completed section in German waters
The Russia-led Nord Stream 2 consortium said on Monday it has completed laying pipes for the project in German waters, finishing work on a 2.6 kilometre-long portion of the pipeline, which had been stalled by the threat of U.S. sanctions.
