The Dukovany nuclear power plant operated by CEZ offline more than expected

The spokesman of the Dukovany Nuclear Plant operated by CEZ, Jiri Bezdek, has recently announced that the relaunch of the nuclear plant might be delayed. CEZ took offline the units 2 and 3 on September 17 for verifications which were initially supposed to continue three to four weeks, but the shutdown has been prolonged numerous times and could be longer than the November dates. Bezdek added that the units will be reconnected in different moments without mentioning the exact dates.

Czech CEZ will shut down two nuclear units for 3-4 weeks

Two 510-megawatt units at Czech CEZ's Dukovany nuclear power plant will be shut down for three to four weeks starting on Thursday and Friday, placing more than half of the country's nuclear capacity offline, as stated by a spokesman for the utility.
