Daily: German forward power soared on firmer carbon, coal prices

Brent crude jumped on Tuesday in heavy spread trading as market players focused on the alleviation of tensions between Iran and the West. Front-month Brent crude for November delivery increased by 48 cents to settle at $108.64. Meanwhile, November U.S. crude decreased by 46 cents to close at $103.13 a barrel.

Daily: European coal prices increase to the highest level since May

Crude oil prices declined on both sides of the Atlantic, down more than $1 per barrel on Monday, despite bullish economic data from China and Europe, as higher crude production from Iraq and a possible lessening in U.S.-Iran relations increased the supply panorama. Brent crude for November delivery eased $1.06 to settle at $108.16 per barrel, after hitting a session low of $107.76. Meanwhile, U.S. crude for November declined $1.16 to $103.59 a barrel. Brent's premium over U.S. crude settled at $4.57, little changed from Friday's close of $4.55.

Daily: European power up along with coal, carbon prices

Brent crude increased over $108 a barrel on Wednesday after crude oil inventories in the U.S. declined to the lowest level since March 2012. Meanwhile, Brent boosted 24 cents to $108.43 a barrel by 14:50 GMT, after falling to its lowest in more than a month in the previous session and U.S. crude rose 81 cents to $106.23, after slipping $1.17 per barrel on Tuesday.

Europe: Renewables share in power generation set to increase by 40% in 2020
