Daily: European power prices trade up at three-week high on EU carbon talks

Brent boosted by nearly $2 per barrel on Friday as traders covered short positions and expectations over the conclusion of an agreement in Geneva which could lessen sanctions against Iran. In early trade, Brent reached a four-month low, surging nearly by $2 per barrel to a high of $105.38. The contract settled $1.66 per barrel higher at $105.12 after trading as low as $102.98, the weakest level since early July.

Centrica strikes a £4.4bn LNG deal with Qatar
