Novovoronezh II-2 cleared for launch

Unit 2 of the Novovoronezh II nuclear power plant in southwest Russia started the process of physical launch yesterday after having received regulatory approval to do so, Rosenergoatom, the operator subsidiary of state nuclear corporation Rosatom, has announced. The VVER-1200 reactor was brought to the minimum controlled power level on 22 March.

Croatia's HEP plans new solar plants with total capacity of 350 MW by 2030

Croatian state-owned power utility Hrvatska elektroprivreda (HEP) plans new photovoltaic plants with a combined capacity of 350 MW by 2030, as in the next five years alone it will invest 750 million kuna ($113.7 million/100 million euro) in solar capacity, it said on Monday.

Russia's Novovoronezh NPP II unit 2 reaches final stage

Unit two of the Russian Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant II, equipped with the VVER-1200 reactor, was brought to Minimum Control Power (MCP), Russia's state atomic energy corporation, Rosatom, confirmed in a statement on Monday.
