Turkey says “no” to Israeli gas amid Gaza conflict
Turkey’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Taner Yildiz, speaking at a press conference in Ankara on Monday said that natural gas exports from Israel’s Leviathan reservoir to Turkey will be banned as long as the Israel-Gaza conflict continues.

Daily: Crude oil prices rally on Malaysian airplane crash, Gaza conflict
Crude oil prices slipped in thin trade on Friday, but posted their firstly weekly increase in a month following the crash of the Malaysian plane over eastern Ukraine and as Israeli troupes invaded Gaza. Brent dropped 65 cents to close at $107.24 a barrel, reversing the previous day's gains. WTI crude slipped 6 cents to hit $103.13, after touching a session high of $103.94 and settling $1.99 higher on Thursday, a hike that partially reversed three weeks of losses.

Alstom to build a €450 million concentrating solar plant in Israel
French engineering group Alstom alongside BrightSource and NOY Infrastructure & Energy Investment Fund secured loans from the European Investment Bank and the Bank Hapoalim for the construction and operation of the Ashalim Thermal Solar Power Station in Israel.

Italy’s Edison in negotiations to acquire two Israeli gas fields
Edison, Italian utility owned by EDF France, is in negotiations to acquire the Tanin and Karish gas fields offshore Israel from Delek Drilling and Noble Energy, U.S. explorer, at a total capacity of about 70 billion cubic metres, according to two sources familiar with company’s plans.

Israel could supply Italy with gas
On Monday, the National Infrastructure, Energy and Water Minister Silvan Shalom and the Italian Economic Development Minister Flavio Zanonato, during a meeting in Rome, have presented the idea of exporting some of Israel’s natural gas to Italy, as Israel still has to decide where to export the amounts allocated for exports of natural gas. Both the Ministers agreed that Israeli natural gas exports to Italy are a common interest of both countries.
