Serbia inks a 2.1 billion euro contract with Gazprom to build South Stream section

The Russian natural gas giant Gazprom announced that its Serbian subsidiary Centrgaz wil be responsible for buiding the South Stream natural gas pipeline in the country. The move came after its subsidiary had won a tender for the construction of the pipeline in Serbia.

Serbia: gas prices to increase in August

Serbian energy regulator AERS made known on Wednesday it has agreed on average raises in retail gas prices of about 1.3 percent for households and up to 1.4 percent for businesses as of August.

Serbia: construction works started on Serbian section of South Stream

Construction works began last week on the Serbian leg of Gazprom's South Stream gas pipeline. The segment under construction will have the capacity to carry 40.5 billion cubic meters per year and it will have about 4500 kilometers across Serbia, having a total cost of about 2 billion euros.

Gazprom starts South Stream construction works in Bulgaria

Gazprom has started the construction of the Bulgarian section of the South Stream pipeline. The pipeline will go from Russia to Bulgaria through the Black Sea, and in Bulgaria it will divide in two, with the northern leg going through Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, and Slovenia to Austria and Northern Italy, while the southern leg going through Greece to Southern Italy.
