Portugal ranked 4th for renewable energy in Europe
According to the most recent figures of the Portuguese Association for Renewable Energies (Apren), in the month of August, Portugal produced 46.8% of its electricity from renewable power sources, earning for itself a fifth place in Europe and forth, if the cumulative energy stock for 2022 is counted. Portugal, in 2022, was able to produce 54.6% of its energy from renewables. This result is lower than Norway, Austria and Denmark which reach respectively 99%, 80% and 77%.

Germany to subsidise basic level of power for homes, businesses
Germany plans to subsidise a basic level of electricity usage for households and set aside cheaper power for small and medium-sized businesses, according to measures set out in an Economy Ministry paper seen by Reuters on Thursday.
