Daily (27.04.2019): WTI oil rebounded by 2.7% on Friday, following a record decline in U.S and Canadian active oil rigs

Crude oil prices inched higher on Friday, after U.S and Canadian oil producers cut the number of active rigs by the most in a month since 2015. Consequently, Brent crude for June delivery traded 0.5% higher at $21.44 a barrel. Similarly, WTI futures rose by 2.7% to $16.94 a barrel.

Daily (23.04.2020) WTI futures soared by over 19% on Wednesday, due to potential deeper supply cuts by OPEC

Crude futures recovered from a more-than 20-year low on Wednesday, on potential new oil talks between OPEC producers to deepen supply cuts to support the market. Consequently, Brent crude jumped by 5.4% to $20.37 a barrel. Similarly, WTI futures traded 19.1% higher at $13.78 a barrel.

Daily (15.04.2020): WTI crude lost 10.3% on Tuesday due to weak global demand

Crude oil futures decreased sharply on Tuesday as weak demand and supply glut eclipsed the support from an agreement over the weekend by major oil producers to curb output. Consequently, Brent crude for June delivery fell by $2.14, or 6.7%, to settle at $29.60 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude plunged by $2.30 or 10.3%, to close at $20.11 a barrel.

Daily (23.03.2020): Carbon prices dropped by over 26% on a weekly basis on Friday, due to increased coronavirus concerns

Crude oil futures extended losses on Friday, being on track for their biggest weekly decline in 12 years, on worries about the coronavirus pandemics that slowed down global economies and curbed oil demand. The failure of coordinated output cuts by producers from the OPEC and others including Russia, also put pressure on prices. Hence, Brent crude plunged by 5.2%, to settle at $26.98 a barrel. At the same time, WTI futures tumbled by 10.3% to $22.63 a barrel.
