Crude oil prices rose on Wednesday, as a conference of Russian, Ukrainian, French, and German negotiators in Paris failed to produce any concrete results. In addition, the weekly EIA report revealed a decrease in US strategic oil reserves, driving prices higher. Despite an increase in weekly crude stockpiles, both Brent oil and WTI crude jumped by 2% to $89.96 a barrel and $87.35 a barrel, respectively.

Denmark has launched the world’s largest wind turbine in Thy. The wind turbine is 271-metre high and manages to generate electricity for 18,000 households, reported DR.DK. The world’s largest wind tribune stands tall at the National Test Center in Osterild in Thy and it is one of the tallest freestanding structures in Denmark.

Crude oil prices extended gains on Thursday after the U.S. reported its biggest drop in crude inventories since September. Furthermore, a weaker Dollar also lent support to prices. Hence, Brent crude rose by $1.14, or 1.5%, to settle at $75.02 per barrel. U.S. WTI crude increased by $1.51, or 2.13%, to settle at $72.38 per barrel.
