Dutch parliament has decided to close all its coal-fired power plants
The Dutch parliament has decided yesterday to cut by 55% the country’s CO2 emissions by 2030. This would mean that the Netherlands would have to close all its coal- fired power plants. The decision taken by the Parliament would bring the Netherlands undoubtedly in line with the Paris Climate Change pact, which has a long-term goal of cutting CO2 levels by 80-95 per cent by 2050.

Urenco inks Ukrainian agreement
Urenco, manufacturer of enriched uranium for the nuclear power utilities worldwide, should supply uranium enrichment to Ukraine under an agreement inked last week by the country's national nuclear firm Energoatom and the enrichment company possessed by Germany, the Netherlands and the UK.

Dutch-German grid operator TenneT will make an investment of 22 billion euros to 2026
TenneT, the Dutch government-owned operator of electrical grids in the Netherlands and Germany, on Tuesday reported an expansion in its 2015 earnings and declared it intends to invest 22 billion euros ($24.25 billion) in new infrastructure over the coming decade.
