ABB has been selected by energy companies SSE Renewables and Equinor to supply its high-voltage direct current (HVDC) Light converter systems to connect the world’s largest offshore wind farms in the Dogger Bank region of the North Sea to the UK transmission network.

SSE to sell energy services unit to OVO Energy in 500 million pound deal
SSE Plc (SSE.L), one of Britain’s big six energy suppliers, said it had agreed to sell its energy services unit to OVO Group for 500 million pounds ($617.6 million), including debt, as it looks to focus on renewable energy and electricity networks.

Wind tender in Germany awards just 37.4% of 500-MW target

Total sells 30% stake in Trapil pipeline network for 260 mln euros
French energy group Total has agreed to sell a 30% stake in the Trapil pipeline network to crude oil storage operator Pisto SAS for 260 million euros ($289 million) as part of a broader asset sale programme.
