Daily: Brent crude reverses losses on worsening relations between Russia and the U.S.

Brent crude curbed previous losses to rebound over $1 a barrel on Friday on worsening relations between Russia and the United States increased fears of supply disruptions in the market. Brent crude for September delivery climbed $1.32 to settle at $108.39 a barrel, the highest settlement price since July 10. U.S. crude for September delivery boosted 2 cents to close at $102.09 a barrel, after declining as low as $101 a barrel earlier in the session.

Daily: British prompt gas plunge on ample supply

Crude oil prices rallied on Monday as the West increased pressure on Russia over its involvement in the downing of Malaysia passenger jet last week. Brent crude for September delivery increased by 44 cents to settle at $107.68 a barrel. Prompt U.S. oil for August delivery boosted by $1.46 to close at $104.59 a barrel, as traders rushed to cover positions ahead of Tuesday's expiration. WTI price for September delivery soared 91 cents to settle at $102.86 a barrel.

Daily: British wholesale gas plunges for the second day on supply glut

U.S. crude oil recovered more than $1 on Wednesday, rebounding from recent straight falls after government data showed the country's crude inventories dipped considerably previous week. U.S. crude for August delivery rose by $1.24 to close at $101.20 a barrel, the highest level since July 10. The European benchmark, Brent contract for August delivery, which expired on Wednesday, fell 17 cents to settle at $105.85 a barrel. Brent price for September delivery augmented 29 cents ending at $107.17.
