Spain halts the award of new feed-in tariff contracts

The new center-right Spanish government decided to halt temporarily the award of new feed-in tariff contracts starting January 2013 amid rising fiscal challenges. National Grid and Petrofac to build a £1bn carbon capture and storage plant in UK

The British energy network National Grid and oil Services Company Petrofac have entered in an agreement with Summit Power Group, a Seattle-based developer of low-carbon electric power projects to seek funding for the development of a carbon capture and storage (CCS) project in the United Kingdom.
