Daily: European power prices drop on higher wind power supply forecast

Spain: wind power was the main energy source in 2013

According to a new report from grid operator Red Electrica de Espana, last year, Spain got the bulk of its electricity from wind power, which has narrowly beat out nuclear power and coal as the primary source of electricity for Spain in 2013. According to the figures, wind turbines met 21.1% of electricity demand while nuclear reactors provided 21% of power.
