Daily: European power prices increased on weak supply from wind and solar
Brent crude futures extended gains to more than $111 per barrel , due to intensifying worries over a supposed chemical weapons assault in Syria added to fears of increased turmoil in the Middle East that could interrupt deliveries. Brent prices for October delivery increased 16 cents to $111.68, the highest since April 2, while U.S. crude for October delivery augmented 46 cents to $106.88 after a 1 % plunge last week

Norway: 8 new wind farms to be build in a bid to triple capacity
Norway has an excellent wind power potential. Norway has an official goal of triple its capacity to more than 2 GW and to have 67.5 % of its energy consumption from renewable sources by 2020. The potential for wind power in Norway is however much greater than this and totally there is applied for 66 TWh with wind power in Norway.

Daily: German power prices down on a major production of wind and thermal
On Friday, Brent crude prices increased above 110 dollars per barrel sustained by optimistic business surveys which suggested that global economy is on the way to recovery and encouraging hopes for a higher demand for fuel. Brent crude prices increased 49 cents to 110.39 per barrel at 13:25 GMT, while U.S. crude oil prices decreased 19 cents at 104.84 dollars per barrel.

Daily: European power prices drop on higher solar and wind output forecast
Brent crude oil futures jumped on continued worries about eventual supply disruptions in the Middle East, reversing losses caused by concerns about the U.S. Federal Reserve's monetary easing policy. Brent crude oil futures for October delivery closed 25 cents higher at $110.15 per barrel, after trading as low as $108.61 earlier in the session.

E.ON to build an offshore wind farm in the North Sea island of Helgoland
The German energy provide E. ON unveiled it started the construction of its Amrumbank West offshore wind farm in the North Sea.
