Italy: first gas field at Bezzecca in northern Italy to be developed by Saffron Energy
The Italian Ministry of Economic Development (UNMIG) greenlighted Italian oil producer Saffron Energy to start gas production at the Bezzecca gas field on 11 April 2017. Commissioning and gas production will commence in the coming days.

UK energy watchdog Ofgem has gave the greenlight for a 1.1 billion pound ($1.45 billion) undersea and underground electricity cable linking Hampshire with Normandy in France.

South Stream pipeline gets Turkey greenlight
Turkey gave greenlight to the South Stream gas pipeline which will transport gas to southeast Europe bypassing Ukraine. The pipeline will pass under Turkey territorial waters and it is expected to deliver gas in 2015.
