Serbia: ready to construct Turkish Stream section
According to TASS, Serbia is ready to begin the construction of its section of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline running from the Bulgarian border to Hungary, Dusan Bajatovic, director general of national gas company Srbijagas said.

Daily (21.01.2019): European carbon prices up by 5% on Brexit hopes and cold weather
Oil prices rose on Friday as China presented a plan aimed at increasing purchases of U.S. goods in order to reduce the trade surplus with the U.S. to zero by 2024. The recent OPEC’s report showing weaker oil output also lent support to prices. However, the continuous trade disputes between the two major economies boosted fears over slower global economic growth and lower demand for fuel. Brent crude traded 2.5% higher at $62.70 a barrel, while WTI futures surged by 3.3% to $53.80 a barrel.

Nordex ends 2018 with 4.75 GW of new orders
German wind turbine maker Nordex today said its fourth-quarter (Q4) 2018 order intake totalled 1.68 GW, lifting past year’s total to over 4.75 GW.

Trans Adriatic Pipeline secures €3.9bn project financing
The Trans Adriatic Pipeline, which will be laid between the Turkish-Greek border and Italy, aims to bring Caspian natural gas from the giant Shah Deniz II field in Azerbaijan to Europe. The pipeline will also have a subsea section of 105km in the Adriatic Sea.

Vestas receives 462 MW of orders in Scandinavia
Vestas Wind Systems announced last week it has received orders for 462 MW of wind turbines to be installed at wind farms in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
