Crude oil prices tumbled to a six-week low Wednesday after the US Federal Reserve raised interest rates and investors worried about oil prices. Hence, Brent crude plunged by 4% to settle at $72.33 a barrel. WTI crude plummeted by more than 4.3% to $68.60 a barrel.

Oil prices saw a slight rebound following the sharp decline on Wednesday as investors eagerly anticipated the release of first-quarter growth figures for the United States, the world's largest consume. Brent crude saw a 1% increase day-on-day, ending at $78.37, while WTI crude rose by 0.6% to settle at $74.76 a barrel.

Oil prices gained rose on Friday, trading 0.6% higher, due to a technical rebound after two sessions of sharp declines. However, gains were capped as the market remains anxious about the global demand. Brent crude settled at $81.66 a barrel and WTI crude ended at $77.87 a barrel.
