Daily (02.07.2019): NBP spot spiked by 11% on Monday, due to outages at Norwegian gas infrastructures

Crude oil prices diverged on Monday. WTI futures inched up by 1.1% to $59.09 a barrel, following OPEC’s decision to extend its output cuts by another nine months until March 2020. Prices were also supported by the easing of trade tensions between U.S. and China, as their presidents agreed not to impose further tariffs on U.S. and Chinese goods. However, Brent crude settled 2.2% lower at $65.06 a barrel, due to persistent demand worries stoked by the slowing global economy and surging U.S. crude production.

Equinor to collaborate with OMV on Norwegian Sea projects

Norwegian giant Equinor has signed two memorandums of understandings (MoU) with Austrian integrated oil and gas company OMV to collaborate on the Hades/Iris discovery and the Wisting development in the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

Lundin makes two oil discoveries near Edvard Grieg field offshore Norway

Lundin Petroleum has confirmed more oil reserves in the PL338 license on the Utsira High on the Norwegian continental shelf through the drilling of the 16/1-31 S (Jorvik) and (16/1-31 A) Tellus East exploration wells.

PGNiG on route to production form Ærfugl gas reservoir in Norwegian Sea

The first well is expected to start production in June 2020. By the end of the year the next three wells will commence production. The Ærfugl project will be developed using innovative technical solutions.
