Daily (27.04.2019): WTI oil rebounded by 2.7% on Friday, following a record decline in U.S and Canadian active oil rigs

Crude oil prices inched higher on Friday, after U.S and Canadian oil producers cut the number of active rigs by the most in a month since 2015. Consequently, Brent crude for June delivery traded 0.5% higher at $21.44 a barrel. Similarly, WTI futures rose by 2.7% to $16.94 a barrel.

Daily (17.04.2020): EUAs expiring in 2021 soared by 8.5% on Thursday due to nuclear concerns in France

Crude oil futures ended on a mixed note on Thursday, with Brent recording minor gains as some European countries decided to loosen up coronavirus restrictions. Hence, Brent crude rose by 13 cents, or 0.5%, to settle at $27.82 a barrel. U.S. WTI crude was unchanged at $19.87 a barrel, marking the second straight day at its lowest level since February 2002.

EU reaches record high LNG imports in 2019

The EU imported the highest ever volume of LNG in 2019 at 108 billion cubic meters (bcm), marking 27% of total gas imports and 22% of the EU's gas consumption, according to the European Commission's (EC) report on the gas market.
