Shell and CNPC to jointly explore the Chinese shale gas block

British Gas reports a 30% drop in annual profits due to a milder winter
British Gas, the leading energy and home services provider in the United Kingdom, has reported a 30% decline in annual profits to £522million for last year, despite price increases of up to 18%, due to milder temperatures this winter which reduced the energy demand.

Poland’s PGNiG to minimize the volume of natural gas purchases from Gazprom
Poland’s state-owned natural gas giant PGNiG has announced that it will reduce gas imports from Gazprom via the Yamal pipeline to around 85% of the contracted volume and will replace the missing volume with alternative resources from western European firms.
