A new wind energy record in Spain
The wind turbine built in April 2009, in Zaragoza hit a new record for energy output on July 1st. The turbine generated 107,82 MWh of electricity and the previous record was set by the same turbine in March.

Germany hits a new solar power record in first half 2012
German solar energy production reached a new world record by pumping 14.7 TWh of electricity into the power grid during the first half of 2012 which represents about 4,5% of the total power production during that period. The country is already a world-leader in solar power and hopes to be free from nuclear energy by 2022.

The Ile-de-France: a potential of 100 to 180 wind turbines
On June 22, 2012 it was inaugurated the "Gargouilles" wind farm, which has 16 wind turbines extending on Eure-et-Loir and Essonne. Three of them are located in Essonne which represents the first wind turbines in Ile-de-France.

Bulgaria to slash wind and solar subsidies from July 1st
Bulgarian state energy regulator SEWRC announced a sharp cut of guaranteed rates for electricity generated by wind and solar power parks on Friday on worries of soaring electricity prices.
