Daily: European spot power prices decline on robust supply

Crude oil prices rebounded on Thursday, following gains in Wall Street equities for a second consecutive day, although U.S. crude inventories posted a weekly increase that weighted on oil outlook. Brent front-month contract rose 18 cents to settle at $50.68 a barrel. At one point during the session it had hiked above $52. U.S. crude's front-month advanced 50 cents to settle at $46.75. It hit above $48 earlier.

Daily: European spot electricity prices jump on lower wind output in Germany, higher electricity demand in France

Crude oil prices increased on Tuesday, with WTI crude soaring as much as 2 percent, spurred by optimistic economic figures and bets for weaker crude inventories in the United States, the largest oil consumer in the world. WTI crude rose by 75 cents to settle at $42.62 a barrel. Brent, the London-traded global benchmark for oil, boosted 7 cents to settle at $48.81, snapping a three-day loss. Brent declined initially on Tuesday morning after a stock market collapse in China, the No. 2 oil consumer.

EU raises anti-dumping duties on Chinese solar glass imports

The European Union had considerably increased anti-dumping duties on imports of solar glass from China, stating that products were still being sold at unfairly low prices, threatening European manufacturers.
