Daily (21.08.2018): German spot power contract gained almost 24% on Monday, on forecasts for a decline in wind generation

Oil crude prices continued their bullish trend on Monday, as investors were more worried about reduced supplies from Iran due to U.S. sanctions and less concerned that U.S-China trade tensions might lead to lower demand. Brent crude increased by 0.5% to $72.21 a barrel, after several declines. Meanwhile, WTI crude settled 0.8% higher at $66.43 a barrel.

Daily (08.08.2018): German electricity spot price tumbled by more than 13% on Tuesday, due to high wind output

Oil crude prices continued to rise on Tuesday, on concerns over the global oil supplies as U.S. sanctions imposed on Iranian exports have been revived. Brent crude added 1.2% to close at $74.65 a barrel. Meanwhile, WTI crude edged 0.2% higher at $69.17 a barrel.

Daily (07.08.2018): Brent crude rose by 0.7% on Monday as OPEC data showed lack of supply

Oil crude prices hiked on Monday, due to sharp decline in Saudi crude outputs following the OPEC report. As concerns about the global oil supplies increased, Brent crude gained 0.7% to reach $73.75 a barrel. At the same time, WTI crude rose by 0.8% to $69.01 a barrel.

Daily (06.08.2018): French day-ahead power price tumbled by 20% on Friday, following the drop in carbon and coal markets.

Oil prices edged lower on Friday, as increased concerns over China’s denial to admit the sanctions against Iranian crude supported the fears over falling demand on U.S supplies. Consequently, Brent crude slipped by 0.3% to $73.21 a barrel. WTI crude dropped by 0.7% to $68.49 a barrel.
