Chevron to extract shale gas in Poland.

As Poland shared interest in developing gas opportunities, like other eastern European countries, thus reducing its reliance on the Russian partner, Chevron, as some other major oil companies, seized the opportunity to extract shale gas at better prices. Still, according to Bobby Ryan, Chevron’s head of global exploration, there is much more work to be done than at first glance.

Gas imports bill in Germany for the first semester of 2010 reduced by 3.2%, arriving at 12.2 billion euros, comparing to 12.6 billion for the same period in 2009, according to BAFA data on Thursday.

Hungary joins AGRI LNG Interconnector gas supply project

Hungary has signed an agreement with Azerbaijan, Romania and Georgia to join the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Romania Interconnector (AGRI) project, which would help diversify energy supply as the Hungarian government said on Tuesday.
